“For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds.” — Matthew 7:8
Once there lived a man burning with desire to see God at work in a real, tangible way.
He cried out:
“God, set a bush on fire as You did for Moses, and I will follow You!
God, bring down walls as You did for Joshua, and I will fight for You!
God, silence the storm as You did in Galilee, and I will listen to Your voice!”

The man sat beneath a bush, beside a stone wall, on the shore of the sea, and waited for God to answer.
God heard his cry and replied.
He sent fire—not to the bush, but to a community of believers.
He tore down a wall—not of bricks, but of sin.
He calmed a storm—not on the sea, but within a soul.
And then God waited for the man’s response. He waited, and waited.
But the man kept his eyes fixed on bushes instead of hearts, on bricks instead of lives, on the sea instead of souls. And so he decided that God had done nothing.
At last, the man looked up to God and said,
“Have You lost Your power?”
And God looked at the man and said,
“Have you lost your hearing?”
